God saw you getting tired and a cure was not meant to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered “come to me”, With tearful eyes I watched you, I watched you fade away, although I loved you dearly, I could not make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, god broke my heart to prove to me he chose to take the best. It’s lonesome here without you, I miss you more each day, life doesn’t seem the same, since you have gone away. When days are sad and lonely and everything goes wrong, I seem to hear you whisper, cheer up and carry on. Each time I see your picture you seem to smile and say, “don’t cry I’m in good hands, we will meet again someday”. I will always love you dad. Written by Karen xx

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest, it broke our hearts to see you go, you truly were the best. They say that memories are golden, well maybe that is true, but we never wanted memories we only wanted you . Your life was love and labour, your smile always true, you did your best for all of us, we will always remember you. We sat beside your bedside, our hearts crushed and sore, we held you ‘TIL the very end, till we could do no more. The world is standing still, now that you are gone, so now it’s time to rest peacefully, for our grampy John. Written by Ellie Mae
